Dev Dharma Cultivates four levels of moral and spiritual life:
  • It gives freedom from evil habits of smoking, drinking, gambling, meat-eating, polygamy, suppression of debts, bribe-taking and killing and sentiment being except in self-defence.
  • It cultivates interpersonal relations between parents and children, brothers and sisters, husband and wife, employer and employee, dear departed, one's community, one's geneology, one's country, mankind and no less in relation to animal, plant and inanimate worlds, by developing the feelings of appreciation, respect, gratitude, service, understanding and love. There is regular exercise of reflection and conduct to reform, refine and sublimate these relations with altruistic feelings.
  • Man is bewitched by pleasure principle arising out of satisfaction of his biological and psychological drives. Take the case of diet. When the pleasure of a particular food bewitches him he eats it in excess and in great frequency and thus diseases his body and his soul. he develops low-love for that particular food. The soul gradually becomes weak to resist the temptation and thus succumbs to death with the body. The founder of Dev Dharma helps his disciples to see the repulsive character of his low-loves and gives him spiritual strength to give it up. Dev Dharma helps man to be free from the pain and suffering and death caused by his low-loves.
  • It cultivates feelings of disinterested service to the four orders of existence. It is through disinterested service that man experiences peace, harmony and unity with cosmos.
Thus Dev Dharma has the ability to offer man freedom from suffering due to his evil desires or low-loves and brings peace and harmony to soul through disinterested service of the four orders of existence.
